In order to apply, you must first be a Cartman Customer. Please take a minute to visit our signup page. Once your Cartman account is enabled you are presented with the option to sign up for an EMS Instant Merchant Account. Upon completion of the order form you can start taking orders right away. You will receive a contract via express delivery. Please sign and
return to complete the process.
An EMS Instant Merchant Account can provide you with a *VERY* competitive discount rate. The rate is 2.75% with a transaction fee of 30 Cents. You will also be charged an account establishment fee of $95 on your first statement. Once you have completed your application you will be given your merchant account number. You are not obligated to use EMS for your charge processing company. Cartman also works with several card service venders including

EMS FAQ
Q. How long does it take to set up a merchant account through EMS?
A.
The average time is about 60 seconds. Once completed, you are presented with your new merchant account. You
can then cut and paste this information into your Cartman manager.
Q. How do I sign up?
A.
Simply sign up for your Cartman shopping cart. When you log into your Cartman the Options button will allow
you to apply for an EMS account
Q. What are the Application fees from EMS?
A.One
time account setup fee of $95 will be billed to your first statement. You will receive a Next Day UPS package that will contain your new merchant agreement and a return envelope. A complete fee schedule will also be enclosed.
Q. Does Cartman issue this account?
A.
No. Your new merchant account is issued and
serviced by EMS (Electronic Merchant Services, Inc.).
Q. What happens after I submit my application to EMS?
A.
You will receive an email within minutes notifying you that your merchant is now active. This email will also
contain your account settings that need to be placed within your Cartman Account. You can then start processing
charges with your new merchant account.
Once
your EMS agreement is returned via the enclosed UPS Next Day Envelope any funds that have been processed will be
deposited into your account. It is recomended that you do not ship purchased products until you receive your
EMS Welcome Kit. Receipt of this Welcome Kit is usually within 72 hours of their receipt of your completed
application.
